UC College of Engineering and Architecture proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its Architecture faculty researchers who received top distinctions at the 7th Agency In-House Review (AIHR) for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology (IEET) held on September 28, 2024, at the UC-TBI Center, Baguio City.
Organized by the UC Research Services Office (RSO) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology–Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR) and the Cordillera Industry and Energy Research and Development Consortium (CIEERDEC), the event recognized research excellence across various fields while highlighting UC’s commitment to a research-driven academic culture.
Architecture faculty members from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) earned multiple awards in both the Oral and Poster Presentation categories.
Awardees from Architecture:

2nd Place (Oral Presentation): Urban Ecopuncture: Adaptation of Wetland Parks Criteria for a Hybrid Flood Mitigation in Cabanatuan City

1st Place (Poster Presentation): A Morphological Analysis of the Integration of BPO Services and Its Impact on Urban Landscape in Baguio City Economic Zone

3rd Place (Poster Presentation): Transforming Urban Dynamics: Implementing a 15-Minute City Model for Sustainable Development in Tuba, Benguet
These award-winning studies demonstrate the Architecture faculty’s dedication to producing impactful research that bridges urban design, sustainability, and community development. Their work reflects the college’s strong commitment to addressing real-world challenges through evidence-based, innovative, and design-centered solutions.
The winners will advance to represent UC in the Joint Regional Symposium on Research, Development, and Extension Highlights (RSRDEH) and the Regional Student Research Congress (RSRC) at Benguet State University on October 14–15, 2024, further showcasing UC’s leadership in architectural and urban research within the Cordillera region.
The success of the Architecture faculty in this year’s AIHR underscores CAFA’s mission to integrate research, innovation, and sustainable design practices in shaping more resilient and forward-looking cities.
